中国新大使卢沙野接受《环邮》专访：加国经济应对中国全面开放

National security concerns had led Harper government to impose restrictions on China’s investments in Canada and to limit takeovers of Canadian oil-sand companies by China’s state owned firms. But amid Trudeau government’s efforts to strengthen trade ties with China, Ottawa has now started an exploratory trade talks with Beijing. Lu Shaye, China’s new envoy to Canada says in an exclusive interview with the Globe that Beijing is focusing on removing Harper-era barriers during the free-trade talk, seeking unfettered access for Chinese state-owned firms to all key sectors of the Canadian economy.
